As part of the "Quiet in the Land" Project, held in Laos between 2004 and 2008, Hans Berger created a series of color photographs depicting the traditional meditation colors seen in Lao Theravada Buddhism. This slim and beautifully produced volume presents 10 of these images in book form for the first time, each accompanied by a phrase on voidness from the Majjhima-nikaya, chosen by Buddhadasa Bhikkhu and translated into English from the original Pali. With an original sketch by Phra One Keo Sitthivong, Abbot of Vat Xieng Thong and Vat Pak Khan in Luang Prabang.
