ANANTHA PUBLISHING is the result of a collaboration of four colleagues based in Luang Prabang, Laos. Each a specialist in his field, and each committed to the mission of our publishing house; that is to bring to the wider world carefully crafted books, media and art that reflect the unique culture of Luang Prabang itself, and of the broader Buddhist cultures of South East Asia.
We are resolved to bring serious scholarship, creative artistry, exhaustive research to our works and scrupulous adherence to the spirit and essence of our subjects.
ANANTHA is the English transliteration of the Lao spelling of the first disciple of the Buddha.

Our own multi-national, multi-lingual background supports and encourages our desire to publish in several languages: English, French, German, Italian, Thai and most notably, Lao.
A number of our books in the Lao language will be distributed free to schools throughout Laos as part of our efforts to foster general and in particular Buddhist education in the country.
